The United States Attorney's Office District of Idaho reports that a California man and a Utah man have both been sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking in Eastern Idaho .
42-year-old Hank Langley from Visalia, California, has been sentenced to 11.5 years in federal prison. His apparent partner in crime, 39-year-old Thomas Schooley from Hyrum, Utah, has been sentenced to 8 years in federal prison. According to court records, the pair were bringing large amounts of controlled substances, including methamphetamine into Eastern Idaho.
Law enforcement discovered and intercepted a package sent through the mail to Langley containing 1,000 grams of methamphetamine. One month later, Langley was arrested after a traffic stop in Pocatello revealed a pound and a half of methamphetamine, fentanyl pills, and a firearm in his vehicle. Detectives learned through the investigation that Schooley was Langley's trafficking partner. Schooley was arrested after he too was pulled over in Pocatello and found to be in possession of 80 grams of methamphetamine.
