A recruitment boss told how her partner assaulted her after a Christmas night out
Alison Blake said she was left with bruises after being “pushed and pulled” from her Edinburgh home by furious Adrian Cahill.
She admitted being undressed in the bedroom and engaging in “heavy petting” and a “prelude to sex” with the young man, but added: “That was as far as it got.” Under questioning from fiscal depute Klaudia Wasilewska, Alison said she was at a festive work party at the Corn Exchange - now called the O2 Academy Edinburgh - where there was a DJ and dancing.
She said: “He started yelling, ‘Get out of my house’ to my colleague initially. The two of them went downstairs. I locked myself in the bathroom.” Alison said she left the house while it was snowing, calling an Uber for her colleague then staying the night alone at a nearby Holiday Inn.
