A tram on the new Newhaven to Leith line became trapped behind the motor
A funny video showing a group of workmen trying to lift a parked van stuck in front of an Edinburgh tram has gone viral on social media.
The tram was unable to squeeze past, the second similar incident on the same road a few weeks ago when trams were being tested on the new route.One person replied to the video and said: "You really reap what you sow! They could have just done away with the parking spots, but nobody wants to upset the motoring mob."
On June 2, a tram had to be guided past another parked van during a trial run of the line. Edinburgh Trams said it was an isolated incident and they thought it was unlikely the same issue would cause problems again.
