A young girl was struck by a bullet at Dothan's Rip Hewes Stadium Friday night, police believe the shot came from several blocks away during a dispute on Kornegay Street.
Dothan police spokesperson Lt. Scott Owens, in a statement issued Saturday, said officers believe the shot came during a dispute on Kornegay Street, which is on the other side of South Oates from the historic stadium.DOTHAN, Ala. -Police believe a bullet that hit a young girl at Dothan’s Rip Hewes Stadium Friday night came from several blocks away.
Officers believe the projectile traveled west, where it struck the girl who was in a car immediately following the conclusion of a football game. The victim, believed to be about 10, received minor injuries.
