The tackle proudly sports two missing front teeth, and his trademark long hair adds an exquisite touch.
“I got my teeth knocked out in a seventh-grade conference championship basketball game,” Mauch explained in an ESPN NFL Draft feature.“I just dove for a loose ball and ran into one of my buddies’ heads and had to go to the doctor and get them pulled out.”“A couple years ago I kind of stopped wearing my retainer, and just kind of embraced the no-two-front-teeth look,” he continued.
“And at some point I just decided to stop spending money on haircuts, and I kind of started growing my hair out and that’s just kind of my look.”Cody Mauch at the 2023 Senior Bowl.Mauch grew up on a farm in North Dakota as one of eight kids, and said that it taught him the value of hard work. He was known in college for doing ostentatious first-down celebrations and also doing celebratory leap-frogs with teammates.
