Inna Vernikov and SAFE CUNY referred to a report detailing CUNY’s assignment of chief diversity officer Saly Abd Alla to an antisemitism case.
She said she’s been trying to get Mayor Eric Adams on the case and to condemn repeated reports of antisemitism on CUNY campuses – but accused him of delaying taking action.
Alla did not respond to an email seeking comment. CUNY responded on her beha;lf, with spokesman Joseph Tirella saying: “CUNY is committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive community, free from antisemitism and all forms of hate, and safe for all individuals. All CUNY chief diversity officers are professionals and trained to ensure the University and its campuses comply with workplace rules and carry out when needed fair and impartial investigations of workplace discrimination.
