WNBA star Brittney Griner will compete in the Unrivaled 3-on-3 pro league during the WNBA offseason. This marks her first time playing competitively outside of the WNBA season since her release from Russian detention in December 2022. Griner said she's excited to stay active and help grow women's basketball with the new league.

"I feel like something was missing in my offseason; I was used to playing year-round," Griner said Tuesday."I wanted to go back to working year-round. This is going to help me stay fresh, knocking all the dust off and being ready for when the comes back around.
Griner also said the launch of Unrivaled, which comes in a year in which the WNBA and the players' union will be negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement, is more proof of the growth of women's sports. "Hopefully, it helps the bring in more viewers, more partners. It's definitely going to put more pressure on the to do better, honestly."in the first round of the WNBA playoffs. The 6-foot-9 center appreciates how the 3-on-3 Unrivaled competition can expand her game.
