A Rhode Island couple's wedding took an unexpected turn when they realized they had forgotten their rings. Ryan and Luke Devaney's videographer captured their hilarious reaction as they searched for the missing rings. The video, which went viral, shows Luke discreetly alerting Ryan to the missing jewelry, while she looks for them with a mix of shock and amusement. Thankfully, Luke's mom and a team of helpers quickly recovered the rings from the bridal suite, ensuring the ceremony continued smoothly.
Ryan and Luke Devaney had spent months planning every detail of their wedding. Finally, dressed to the nines and sitting in the Rhode Island church for their September ceremony, they could relax. The wedding was happening. Then came a moment of panic as they realized something was missing from their elegant ensembles: Their rings. A video of the couple noticing the rings were gone, and reacting to the twist, has since gone viral on social media, reaching 10 million views on Instagram.
“She looked more scared than I did. But once I told her, I knew within minutes, we’ll have the rings back,” Luke Devaney says. “She’s a mom. She’s going to solve the problem.” Off camera, Luke Devaney's mom set off a chain of helpers. She told the bride's mom, who told the photographer, who told her second photographer, who sprinted to the nearby bridal suite where the rings had accidentally been left behind after being photographed.
