Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin is expected to be inactive for Sunday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium, per reports in the early hours of Sunday morning from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Bills will still have to officially rule out Hamlin when the inactives list is released approximately 90 minutes before kickoff. Hamlin, 25, has not played in a game this season and has been listed as inactive for all eight of Buffalo’s games. He suffered cardiac arrest in the field of play in Week 17 of last season against the Bengals at Paycor Stadium and was given life-saving CPR before being transported to the hospital.The game, which held pivotal AFC postseason implications, was postponed and ultimately cancelled.
Across Buffalo's three preseason games this year, Hamlin posted 10 total tackles. He sat out of Wednesday's practice due to illness but returned as a full participant on Thursday and Friday.
