Local doctor shares bond with Damar Hamlin after each survived cardiac arrests

THEY BOTH COLLAPSED SUDDENLY AFTER GOING INTO CARDIAC ARREST AND ONE ON THE BASKETBALL COURT AND THE OTHER ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD HERE IN CINCINNATI, LESS THAN A YEAR APART. Hamlin participated in the Bills' training camp, got back on the field for preseason snaps and, in late August, was announced as a part of Buffalo's initial 53-man roster. "It was great to see communities come together for a really positive benefit, and it's turned into a lot of good, so I think that's what everybody is really thankful for," Taylor said on Monday ahead of the Bengals and Bills' battle on Sunday Night Football., with Hamlin in attendance helping others learn the very skills that saved his life. The event was held at the University of Cincinnati and provided community members with hands-on CPR training at no cost.
