The Atlanta Braves are looking to replenish their starting pitching rotation after losing Max Fried and Charlie Morton to free agency. One potential target is New York Yankees veteran Marcus Stroman . Newsweek's Zach Pressnell suggests a trade could be beneficial for both teams, with Atlanta sending a few low-level prospects to the Yankees in exchange for Stroman .
Stroman, in the second year of a two-year, $37 million contract, could fill a void for the Braves, who need a reliable innings-eater. While Stroman's 2023 performance (10-9, 4.31 ERA) wasn't spectacular, he's a veteran with a proven track record of durability, having pitched at least 135 innings in each of the past four seasons.
