Brad Marchand is staying with the Panthers on a stunning six-year contract before NHL free agency.
The 37-year-old veteran has agreed to a six-year contract worth just under $32 million with the Panthers, as first reported by, giving him a salary cap hit that's less than $5.5 million. According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun, Marchand's contract is front-loaded with just $1 million in base salary for each season.
