Brad Marchand has continued to produce for the Panthers, and our expert Stanley Cup Finals prediction expects Marchand to fire away. The Florida Panthers will look to bounce back in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals after falling short in the series opener against the Edmonton Oilers.
Brad Marchand was active in Game 1 with a goal and three shots, and I’m expecting him to be buzzing around the net once again in Game 2. Marchand scored a power-play goal in the first period of Game 1 to collect his third point in his last four outings while also registering three shots in Florida’s overtime defeat. While I don’t necessarily expect Marchand to score again tonight, I do expect him to be sniffing around the net with Over 1.5 shots. The veteran forward has just 26 shots in 18 games during this playoff run but he’s been far more active in the latter half of the postseason. Marchand has registered 2+ shots in four of his last five contests after hitting that mark in just two of the 10 games prior. A big reason why I expect the 37-year-old to find some space in Game 2 is because the Panthers third line of Marchand, Anton Lundell, and Eetu Luostarinen has been incredibly effective this postseason. Among Florida’s top three lines, that trio was the only one that got close to even on the shot clock at 5-on-5 in Game 1 as they got outshot just 8-7. However, they controlled 66% of the expected goals when they were out there, so they generated some dangerous looks. The postseason often comes down to depth scoring and the Panthers will need Marchand and his linemates to keep producing if they’re going to repeat as champions.to maintain his scoring touch on the road. Bennett leads all players this postseason with 12 tallies – 11 of which have come as the visitor. Bennett has scored in four straight road games and has been held without a goal in just two of his 11 contests as a visitor in these playoffs.have topped in seven of their last eight meetings. Florida has seen 6+ goals scored in five of its last seven while the Oilers has hit that total in four of its last six contests. The Oilers have been the NHL’s highest-scoring team this postseason while the Panthers aren’t far behind in fourth , so while I think this series will be close I also think we’ll see plenty of scoring.get up to $800 bonus bets back: Our team of experts has thoroughly researched and handpicked each product that appears on our website.
