Amid the widespread social distancing being practiced in reaction to the coronavirus pandemic, Billboard is suspending the weekly Billboard Boxscore and DanceClubSongs charts
The pauses reflect the numerous postponements and cancellations of live music events, from individual artist tours to festivals and more, as well as the closures of clubs, against the backdrop of quarantining as public gatherings are limited and/or prohibited throughout the United States and worldwide.
The most recently updated Dance Club Songs chart, until further notice, is dated March 28. Billboard Boxscore will update once more, on March 31, with the survey dated April 4, before it goes on hiatus. The Boxscore chart ranks the top-grossing concerts as reported by promoters, venues, managers and booking agents.
Dance Club Songs ranks the week's most popular songs played in dance clubs, compiled from reports submitted by a national sample of club DJs., meanwhile, will continue to provide complete coverage of both the touring and dance spaces, including the many performances that artists arePlus, the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs, Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales, Dance/Mix Show Airplay and Top Dance/Electronic Albums charts will continue to update weekly.
