Dorset Police have launched a murder investigation and say officers are yet to make any arrests.
A 34-year-old woman died in the incident and another woman, age 38, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.A murder investigation is under way and police are appealing for witnesses. The beach is closed with a large police cordon in place.Dorset Police said both of the victims - one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene - are from nearby Poole.He continued: “Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the woman who very tragically lost her life.
"The beach, promenade, beach huts, Durley Chine car park, all businesses and access points within the cordon are currently closed."New destinations announced from Bournemouth Airport
