PALMER, Alaska - Palmer Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have confirmed a bomb threat led to an evacuation of the Alaska State Fairgrounds in Palmer on Saturday afternoon.
According to Palmer Police, information about a possible bomb threat was shared with the department around 12:26 p.m. Saturday. Officers were immediately dispatched to the fairgrounds, where multiple events were being held, and contacted facility security as well as the FBI. Fairgrounds personnel made the decision to evacuate the area.A search did not reveal any suspicious persons or items and the facility was later reopened.
