The little Australian show-that-could has been revolutionary in its simplicity. The show centers around the daily life of a family of four: Dad Bandit, Mom Chilli and kids Bluey and Bingo. The end of the show's third season in 2024 threw viewers into a tailspin — from the drama and tears of 'The Sign' episode to the shock of the 'Surprise' finale. Fans are eager for more, but like the characters in the show, they'll have to use their imagination while they wait for 2027's “Bluey” movie. Though the core four Heelers get the vast majority of the screentime, there are a number of other characters who inhabit their world and add charm and warmth to the show. Here's a rundown of who's who in the Blueyverse. Bluey As the title character, Bluey is a seemingly inexhaustible font of energy. She starts off the series as a 6-year-old and then turns 7 in the 'Pass the Parcel' episode. She's generally a caring big sister to Bingo and she loves any game that involves role play. Bingo Bluey's little sister can be a bit shy, but she learns to use her Big Girl voice. She begins the series as a 4-year-old and turns 5 in the second season. Just like many little sisters, Bingo is a bit more fearful than Bluey and appreciates some extra reassurance from her sister and her parents, especially when life gets 'trifficult.' Dad Bluey's dad Bandit is a lovable clown who is generally in the mood for an imaginative game. Bandit has two older brothers, Rad and Stripe, with whom he tends to be competitive. He works as as an archeologist . In typical dad fashion, he loves sports, barbecues and horseplay. But he's also willing to sit and empathize with his daughters, adjusting his behavior to be more sensitive when needed. Mum Chilli really breaks down the mom stereotype of always being the patient nurturer. In many episodes, Chilli appears to be short-tempered or frustrated with her kids, and she teaches them that moms sometimes need a time out, just like kids do. 'I need 20 minutes where no one comes near me,' Chilli once told her husband as soon as he came home from work. She also teaches her daughters how to throw a stick, she fixes the broken toilet, she plays field hockey and she works as a 'sniffer' dog in airport security. Muffin Muffin is Bluey and Bingo's younger cousin. Her parents are Aunt Trixie and Uncle Stripe. Having Muffin around gives Bingo the chance to be a big kid. Muffin has to get loud to get heard, and she's still learning how to take turns. And if she's skipped her nap, watch out! Aunt Trixie Aunt Trixie is Muffin’s mom, and she's not afraid to tease the grownups. She plays games — and hockey — with the kids, and she can't resist a freshly opened bag of chips. Uncle Stripe Uncle Stripe is married to Aunt Trixie, and he's competitive with his brother Bandit. He is a big 'Stump Fest' fan. Aunty Brandy Voiced by actress Rose Byrne, Aunty Brandy is Chilli's older sister. The show suggests that Brandy struggled with infertility and had to distance herself from Chilli's family as a result. In 'The Sign,' however, we see the sisters reunite ... and Brandy is pregnant! Calypso Calypso is Bluey's teacher. She is remarkably calm, fair and patient — and she's very good at knitting. Chloe Chloe is one of Bluey's best friends, and she's a total pro at the monkey bars. Her favorite TV show is 'Chutney Chimp.' Coco Coco and Bluey have known each other since they were babies — their mums used to bring them to the same infant class. Coco is the youngest of nine and her mom helped Chilli learn that babies hit milestones in their own time. Indy Indy, one of Bluey's friends, is a free spirit ... with everything except her diet. She cannot eat wheat, gluten, sugar, salt, dairy and many other additives. Nana Nana is Bandit's mother. Her house rule is that everyone gets what they want ... which mostly works out for the best. She is patient and sensitive to her grandchildren's feelings, and she loves telling jokes. Grandad Grandad is Chilli's father. Currently retired, he loves canoeing, bush walking and eating curried sausages. He is reluctant to change his active lifestyle but knows how much Chilli wants him to take care of himself. Frisky Frisky is Chilli's friend and Bluey's godmother. She met her husband-to-be, Uncle Rad, while acting as a 'double babysitter' for Bingo and Bluey. The tension before her wedding is a major plot point of 'The Sign.' Uncle Rad Uncle Rad is Bandit's oldest brother. He used to work on an oil rig far away, and he would delight his nieces on his infrequent visits. But when he married Frisky at the end of Season 3, they decided to set up house in Brisbane, so he'll see them more often now. Bobo Bobo is the name of the Heeler family car. It reliably brings the family everywhere they need to go ... but it's a bit cluttered with stickers and drink cups and crayons inside.
