Simone Ashley as Kate and Jonathan Bailey as Anthony in 'Bridgerton.'

The Bridgerton clan is a fascinating bunch, and it's not just the family at the center of the ballroom. Since its 2020 premiere, the Shondaland series has tugged at audiences' heartstrings with its portrayal of Mayfair's marriage mart.

Regency-era matrimony is like a full-fledged marketplace, where the fairest ladies compete for the most eligible, well-to-do suitors. And yet, every so often — four times and counting — a society-defying love match occurs, and it always involves a Bridgerton. Still, for all its romance-dominant storytelling, there are more stories in Bridgerton waiting to be told. With its long list of characters, from the Bridgerton family itself to the individuals around their circle, spin-offs similar to Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story would add more context and nuance to the main story. Without further ado, here are the Bridgerton characters who deserve a spin-off. Lady Agatha Danbury There's more to Lady Agatha Danbury than being the close confidante of the queen. Fans of Bridgerton often see Lady Danbury tending to the woes of London's high society. Whether it's ensuring that the Duke of Hastings has his heart truly set on the marriage market, or advising Benedict Bridgerton in his quest for the Lady in Silver, Lady Danbury's time is spent ensuring that members of high society don't get their panties in a twist. Season 4, however, shows that Lady Danbury has her own wants. A life outside the aristocracy is waiting for her. With her urge to visit her ancestral home, there must be something in her background that compels her to reconnect with her roots. A Lady Danbury spin-off could show what she is like free from her responsibilities, with her main duty being to finally enjoy herself. In the context of her ancestral home, it would be a breath of fresh air from all the stuffiness of Mayfair. Will and Alice Mondrich The working-class heroes of Bridgerton, Will and Alice Mondrich , have always been the wallflowers of Mayfair. They're a literal power couple; Will starts as a professional boxer, while Alice is the one who tends to the finances. By the second season, Will has enough money to open a gentleman's club for the rich. In a stroke of sheer luck, the two learn that their eldest son inherits a barony, automatically making Will and Alice rich. The show has explored how the two adapt to high society as newcomers. However, a Will and Alice Mondrich spin-off could further show how the married couple becomes successful in their own right using the capital they currently possess. The two have always been hardworking, and Alice even makes it clear that she is not the type to simply remain idle as the queen's lady-in-waiting. Instead, she wants to make meaningful contributions of her own. Mrs. Wilson It takes a solid team to run Bridgerton House, and nobody leads it better than Mrs. Wilson . As the loyal housekeeper and head of staff, she is the go-to woman for all the logistics that keep the household running smoothly. Whether it's supervising servants, organizing their massive balls, or helping with newly married couples, Mrs. Wilson is reliable, timely, and disciplined. Yet, she's never one to undermine her fellow staff. Unlike Araminta Gun or Portia Featherington , Lady Violet Bridgerton maintains a mutually respectful relationship with Mrs. Wilson. At one point, Lady Violet even confides in her about some of her more intimate matters. Lady Violet also raises her children to respect the staff. With Season 4 focusing on Mayfair's maids, a Mrs. Wilson spin-off could explore what it takes to become a head of staff. It could also reveal how she came to work at Bridgerton House in the first place. Lady Violet Bridgerton Throughout all four seasons of Bridgerton, Lady Violet's goal remains the same: to obtain a love match for her children. It's not that she is obsessed with maintaining wealth, status, or prosperity through marriage. Rather, Lady Violet wholeheartedly wants her children to be happy, especially in the romance department. With no husband to tend to and plenty of time on her hands, she pours her attention into getting her children prim and proper for the marriage mart. These days, however, Lady Violet finds herself catching feelings for Lord Marcus Anderson . In Season 4, it seems the two may actually have a chance at being together. Ironically, though, Violet begins to question whether marriage is truly what she wants, as she longs to rediscover who she was before becoming a wife and mother. As she secretly shares with Benedict, she was just as rebellious as he is. A Lady Violet spin-off could offer a more in-depth look at that side of her — because it's almost unimaginable to think she was ever as wild as her second-eldest son. Kate and Anthony Bridgerton It's been a hot minute since Bridgerton fans last saw Kate and Anthony Bridgerton . Now happily married and a family of three, the pair return to Mayfair just in time for Benedict's wedding. But before making their way back to London, they had spent a considerable amount of time in India, where they even welcomed their son, Edmund. A Kate and Anthony spin-off could follow the couple during their time in India, from the arduous months-long trip to the birth of Edmund. Considering that Anthony has spent most of his life in Mayfair or the countryside, it would be fascinating to see him in a completely foreign environment. With Regency-era Britons maintaining a prominent presence in India, the high-society landscape would likely differ from what they're used to in London, especially alongside maharajas and local nobility. Posy Li Although she is only a minor character in Season 4, Posy Li feels like a character with far more to give. For most of her life, she has lived in the shadow of her more domineering sister, Rosamund Li . And yet, in a satisfying twist, it is Posy, not Rosamund, who secures a love match and frees herself from her mother's grip. A Posy Li spin-off could chart the aftermath of her newfound freedom. No longer her mother's puppet, there's so much she could do. Whether it's embracing Sophie as her half-sister rather than her maid, or nurturing her marriage with the adorkable Lord Barnaby , it would be interesting to watch the happier member of the Penwood household step into a new chapter. Hazel Sophie might have lived a lonely life without her real parents, but at least she has friends she can call family. Hazel entered Sophie's life later in Bridgerton. The two previously served at Cavender House, where they were harassed and mistreated, an experience that bonded them. Fortunately, Hazel also receives employment at Bridgerton House thanks to Benedict. While Sophie remains in touch with her beloved staffmates at Penwood House, Hazel becomes her closest confidante and the friend she can always rely on. Bridgerton is praised for its representation, and a Hazel spin-off could further expand that by bringing more disability representation to the screen. Since the show takes place during the Regency era, it would be interesting to explore how disability is navigated in a time when information and awareness were far more limited than they are today. It would also be compelling to see how Hazel maintains her friendship with Sophie, who is now considered part of the nobility. Breaking social norms has always been central to Bridgerton, after all.
