The Department of Health (DOH) is set to officially launch the bivalent Covid-19 vaccines on June 21 at the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City. | ManilaBulletin

On Wednesday, June 14, DOH said that the donated bivalent vaccines are currently being distributed to its Center for Health Development .The health department reiterated that they will prioritize the rollout of the first phase of the vaccine to healthcare workers and senior citizens who already had their second booster shot four to six months ago.

The supply of bivalent vaccines is still insufficient, DOH said, but the supply of monovalent vaccines is still enough. On June 13, DOH Secretary Dr. Teodoro "Ted" Herbosa announced that the 390,000 doses of bivalent vaccines donated by the COVAX Facility have already arrived in the country.This is in addition to the 391,000 bivalent vaccines donated by the Lithuanian government on June 3.
