The Department of Health has started to roll out the first batch of COVID-19 bivalent vaccines and negotiations are underway to procure more, Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa said Tuesday.

“I think they have already been redistributed to the different region of the Department of Health,” Herbosa said in a statement. He added that to procure more bivalent vaccines, they have to be registered with the Philippines' Food and Drugs Administration. The emergency use authorization for COVID-19 vaccines has been revoked since the public health emergency was lifted.
