The seven political parties - the DA, ActionSA, IFP, Freedom Front Plus , United Independent Movement , Spectrum National Party and Isanco - held the convention to formalise their alliance whose main aims are to remove the ANC from power and a The parties also agreed that the same party could not lead both the legislative and the executive arms of government.
