More than 50 shots were fired Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, during a fight following a basketball game at Woodlawn High School.Police put out at least two dozen shell casing markers at the scene. Wade said the city’s gunfire detection system - Shot Spotter - registered more than 50 shots fired.Birmingham City Schools spokesperson Sherrel Wheeler Stewart said the shooting took place in the school’s parking lot and that one person was taken to the hospital.
