“Bindaas Bowls & Rolls showcases delicious and easy-to-transport bowls and rolls to grab and go for a quick lunch break or to take home at the end of the business day,” states Ashok Bajaj, the founder and president of Knightsbridge Restaurant Group. “We are pleased that patrons crave our time-honored, made-from-scratch Indian fare, so transitioning to expand our to-go-focused concept makes perfect sense in this community, which serves the George Washington University campus and Foggy Bottom residents.” The grab-and-go concept serves sandwiches, biryani, snacks, desserts, and its featured bowls and rolls for those on the run. There is also ample seating for those who prefer to order and dine casually at the restaurant. Patrons pick their sauces and proteins to build their meal, with a rotating selection of proteins such as lamb, fish, chicken, and shrimp, as well as vegetarian options. The 3,500-square-foot restaurant will serve from 8 a.m. to 3:59 p.m. seven days a week. James Beard award-winning Group Executive Chef Vikram Sunderam created the menu. One can select a featured bowl or roll, filled with a tempting Indian feast, at an affordable price. Rolls selections include CHICKEN ROLL, chicken tikka masala and fenugreek, $12.95; LAMB ROLL, roast lamb masala and· fennel seed, $12.25, and PANEER ROLL, paneer, bell pepper and onion, $12.25. Bowls include LAMB VINDALOO, brown rice, vindaloo and spiced lamb meatballs, $13.95; CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA, saffron basmati rice, tikka masala and chicken, $14.75; SALMON MOILEE, lemon rice noodles, coconut moilee and chili salmon, $13.45, and PANEER KORMA, curried quinoa, korma, paneer, sweet potato & spinach kofta, $13.45, and a VEGAN BOWL is available on request for $12.95. Tempting desserts for $5.25 each include STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING, MANGO-CARDAMOM CHEESECAKE, KULFI SANDWICH , GULAB JAMUN & RABDI, and PISTA RASMALAI.
