Hader and Wong have reportedly split after two years of dating with a source saying that they struggled to make the relationship work.

It’s not clear where they were but it appears to be a residential street in Los Angeles, possibly outside his home. As Wong and Hader reached the car, they stopped to look at each other as the “Beef” actor became tearful, Page Six said. They embraced, Hader kissed Wong, brushed her hair out of her face, then helped her into her car. Through a rolled-down window, the couple chatted for a bit, with Hader leaning inside the window and Wong touching his chin. Presumably, Wong drove off, and Page Six can’t say what brought on this intense scene or whether it was a prelude to their breakup.the split is amicable with no major turmoil leading up to it. A source attributed the breakup to a common problem for successful celebrities: busy schedules. “It was too difficult to make the relationship work with Ali’s upcoming standup tour and Bill’s various film and TV projects this year,” the insider said. Plus, they are both parents of children from prior marriages, which can always complicate things. The “Barry” and “Trainwreck” actor has three daughters,from his marriage to writer and director Maggie Carey, while Wong has two daughters, 9 and 7, from her marriage to inventor Ken Hakuta. Now, “they’re focusing on their work and kids, while continuing to support and root for each other,” the source said. But People also noted there was talk of trouble in the relationship going all the way back to last year’s 2025 Golden Globe Awards. Fans wondered why Hader didn’t walk the red carpet with Wong, or she didn’t thank him in her acceptance speech after she and her Netflix special, “Special Lady,” beat out Jamie Foxx, Nikki Glaser, Seth Meyers, Adam Sandler and Ramy Youssef for the prize for best performance in stand-up comedy on television. At the time, a representative for Hader told People that the couple was still going strong and that Hader missed the event due to a health issue. But the year before, at the 2024 Golden Globes, Hader and Wong were very much a loved-up couple, especially as she won a best actress prize for her role in “Beef.” Hader was seen giving her a kiss before Wong made her way to the stage. In April 2023, People confirmed that Hader and Wong were dating again. They had briefly dated in the fall of 2022, following her separation from Hakuta. She and Hakuta finalized their divorce in May 2024. In her Netflix special, Wong revealed that that Hader reached out to her when he found out she was getting a divorce, People reported. After getting her number from a mutual friend, she said he texted that he had a crush on her “forever” and asked her to be his girlfriend.
