Biden calls on Congress for Israel aid as country prepares for ground invasion of Gaza
CHICAGO -- President Biden is asking Congress to approve $105 billion in emergency spending, including around $14 billion in aid to Israel.The plan for financial assistance comes as Israel prepares for a ground assault in Gaza.According to the Palestinian health ministry, more than 4,100 Palestinians, including hundreds of children, have been killed in Gaza since the start of the conflict.Israel says 1,400 of its citizens have died since Hamas launched its terror attack on Oct. 7.
