Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O'Rourke tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday despite being fully vaccinated and boosted.

O'Rourke previously served in the House of Representatives, representing Texas's 16th Congressional District from 2013 to 2019. He ran for a Senate seat in 2018 but lost to incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz. Two years later, O'Rourke ran for the Democratic nomination for president but dropped out of the race when his campaign failed to take off.O’Rourke’s latest campaign stop was in Livingston, Texas.
