The Titans improved to 7-4 and will face second-seeded Cleveland Heights next week.
BEREA, Ohio – Quarterback Danny Bowser scored three times and added one touchdown pass, while Noah Silva scored two third-quarter touchdowns and added an interception, propelling seventh-seeded Berea-Midpark to a 41-18 victory over 10th-seeed Massillon Jackson Friday night in a first-round playoff game in Division I, Region 1.
The Titans improved to 7-4 and will face second-seeded Cleveland Heights, which defeated 15th-seeded Euclid, 39-0, in the regional quarterfinals on the road next Friday. Jackson’s season ends at 5-6. The 10-1 Tigers beat Berea-Midpark, 46-21, way back in Week 1. The Polar Bears opened the scoring when Nathan Kuntz found Kyle Andrews on a 10-yard scoring toss following a muffed punt by the Titans. However, that’s where the highlights ended for Jackson and began for the Titans.
