A fifteen-year-old Thai restaurant in a strip mall on South Parker Road is closing at the end of January, but there is hope for a new location. The restaurant has been a local favorite since 2010, known for its delicious and generous portions of Thai dishes.
The fifteen-year-old strip-mall spot on South Parker Road will close at the end of January, but there may be hope for a new location .We're in the midst of our end-of-year fundraising campaign, and we have until December 31 to raise $30,000. Our work is funded by readers like you, who make voluntary gifts because they value our reporting and want to see it continue. Please make a contribution today and help us reach our goal.
That's all changing, though, and frugal foodies will soon be sniffling at the restaurant's closure. Owners Judy and Sammy Teawdeswan will be shuttering J's at the end of January. With their lease on the humble strip-mall location expiring and the neighboring halal market seeking space to expand, the clock is ticking for Thai food fans.
However, all hope is not lost just yet."It is possible that maybe there will be an investor," Judy says."There is a customer who would love for us to find another place. So we will hope."
