The play was immediately stopped when Thunder players Daniel Sams and Cameron Bancroft crashed into each other while running underneath a high ball in opposite directions in the outfield at Perth Stadium on Friday night.

Both had eyes only for the ball and neither saw the other coming at any stage leading up to the collision.
