Matt Short and the Adelaide Strikers host Ashton Turner and the Perth Scorchers in a blockbuster New Years Eve BBL clash at the Adelaide Oval.The seventh placed Strikers desperately need their second win of the season to keep in touch in the finals race , while the Perth Scorchers can go equal second with their third win of their campaign.
Short and Chris Lynn will lead the charge with the bat for the Strikers, while Jamie Overton and Lloyd Pope will be key with the ball for the hosts. For the Scorchers Turner and Cooper Connolly have been in hot form with the bat, while Jason Behrendorff and Lance Morris will be crucial with the ball in hand.
It sets the scene for a mouth-watering final clash of 2024, before the charge to the BBL14 finals next month.
