Police om Gaston County, North Carolina, are now searching for a 24-year-old suspect.
GASTON COUNTY, North Carolina — A 6-year-old girl suffered a gunshot wound to her cheek and her parents also were wounded when a neighbor began firing at them, reportedly because a ball had rolled into his yard as a group of kids played basketball.
Police have identified the suspect as Robert Louis Singletary, 24, according to multiple reports. Singletary fled the area after the shooting and police still are searching for him. He is wanted on four counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.
