Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm reacts after hitting a three RBI home run against the Texas Rangers during the fifth inning at Citizens Bank Park.Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm, 29, is suing his parents, alleging they defrauded him of millions while managing his financial affairs. In the lawsuit, the baseball star claimed his parents, Daniel and Lisa Bohm, used multiple limited liability companies to funnel money from his personal bank accounts and spend it on themselves. The lawsuit was filed in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas on Wednesday and seeks at least $3 million in damages, as well as a full accounting of the missing funds. In January, the lawsuit says Bohm asked his parents for access to his financial information, including account statements. The lawsuit says his parents opted to “engage counsel” after the request, and that counsel then provided minimal information. It also claims his parents sought to “freeze” him out of his accounts and that they had “converted a sizeable amount” of his money for “their own use.” Though their attorney, Bohm’s parents denied any wrongdoing, saying they have always acted in his best interests “both personally and professionally” and still do so. “They are deeply saddened by the allegations made against them in this lawsuit and the sensational false narrative painted here,” the statement said. Bohm says his parents set up two LLCs in 2019, the year after he signed with the Phillies. He has a $10.2 million contract with the Phillies this year. Bohm claims his parents told him they needed to take a 10 percent interest in the LLCs in order to act as authorized representatives of his interests. They set up two more LLCs in 2024 after their son planned to purchase real estate. The lawsuit states that his parents live in an RV and travel the country. After Thursday’s game, Bohm told reporters, “I’m not going to address any personal matters right now.”Toro Rosso Formula One driver Max Verstappen of The Netherlands looks on in a pit lane during the third testing session ahead the upcoming season at the Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya in Montmelo, Spain, February 24, 2016. Picture taken on February 24, 2016. REUTERS/Sergio PerezLegendary Formula One racer Max Verstappen blew up at a reporter during a scheduled media session and told him to “get out” during the Japanese Grand Prix on Thursday. The Dutch-Belgian racer singled out journalist Giles Richards of The Guardian, who had asked him a question last year that he did not appreciate. “I’m not speaking before he’s leaving,” the Red Bull racer said of Richards, shortly before the Q&A was to begin. The reporter approached Verstappen’s table to plead his case, but was told to “get out.” The question Verstappen objected to was asked by Richards in December after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The Guardian journalist asked whether the four-time world champion regretted an incident earlier in the year in which he collided with another racer at the Spanish Grand Prix, resulting in a time penalty that cost him precious points. “You forget all the other stuff that happened in my season,” Verstappen answered at the time. “The only thing you mention is Barcelona. I knew that would come.” Richards wrote in aon Thursday that he was “deeply disappointed” by Verstappen’s behavior and questioned whether the racer “was simply enjoying the power dynamic.”—a sovereign cleaning machine engineered not to impress you, but to liberate you from ever having to think about sweeping and mopping ever again. Floyd William Parrott, 64, was arrested in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Wednesday by officers with the Houston Police Department and the FBI, according to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. Parrott was charged with capital murder in connection with the killings of Andy Atkinson, 21, and Cheryl Henry, 22, who were found inside a car parked in a cul-de-sac with injuries to their necks on Aug. 23, 1990, police said. The fundamental idea behind vibration therapy is that the vibrations cause muscle contraction just like they would if you were, say, lifting a pair of dumbbells, doing bicep curls, and the claim is that these contractions help build muscle, burn fat, and promote increased lymphatic drainage just by standing on the device and feeling the vibes. As someone who is obsessed with taking care of my lymphatic system , I purchasedon a whim before my wedding a few years ago, and while I figured it would be a gimmick, it’s one of the best wellness investments I’ve ever made. If you’re after a user-friendly yet super-powerful vibration plate that doesn’t break the bank,is the gold standard. I have had mine for almost four years, and I absolutely love it. Best of all? It’s backed by a lifetime warranty, which more than justifies the price tag, and select vibration plate models Netflix announced on Thursday that it would raise its prices for the second time in just over a year. Under the new pricing, the Standard with Ads plan will cost $8.99/month, increasing by $1, while the Standard plan will increase by $2 to $19.99/month. Premium plans are also increasing by $2 to $26.99/month. As Variety explains, the increase demonstrates that Netflix feels it has “pricing power” over its competitors, having calculated that it can weather the cost of losing some subscribers in response to higher fees in exchange for the increased revenue it will receive from new and returning subscribers. Netflix is the largest streaming service in the world; it had over 325 million customers at the end of 2025. “Our approach remains the same: We continue offering a range of prices and plans to meet a variety of needs, and as we deliver more value to our members we are updating our prices to enable us to reinvest in quality entertainment and improve their experience by updating our prices,” Netflix said in a statement to Variety.Authorities in Italy have recovered $20 million of property and financial assets believed to have been stolen from Ursula Andress, the 90-year-old former Bond girl. Andress, who played the love interest in the original 1962 James Bond film, said the money was taken from her by a deceitful financial advisor over eight years. That advisor has apparently died since. Earlier this year, the Bond girl told a Swiss newspaper she was still in shock from the theft. “I was deliberately chosen as a victim. For eight years, I was courted and wooed. They lied to me shamelessly and exploited my goodwill in a perfidious, indeed criminal, way in order to take everything from me. They took advantage of my age.” The money was put to use, buying 11 properties as well as 14 parcels of Italian farmland for growing wine grapes and olives. On Thursday, Italian police announced a connection between the purchases and Andress’ money. Some of the cash was concealed through shady transactions. No arrests have yet been announced. Beyond Andress’ appearance inA lost kangaroo is venturing into uncharted territory through the wilds of central Wisconsin. The marsupial was last seen “bouncing through” an area of town “like he’s training for the Olympics,” the sheriff’s office quipped on Facebook. His caretakers have employed the help of a drone company to help locate the animal. According to recent updates on their Facebook page, there haven’t been any drone sightings of the beloved kangaroo just yet, but “the drone company will come back if somebody actually spots him and we will start again.” To help spread the word, Sunshine Farm’s owner has “given several interviews news stations and posted his pictures with them and I’m going to continue looking on foot in the areas that I know he has been to.”ask that anyone who sees Chesney call them immediately. The sheriff’s office offered additional advice: “Chesney is likely scared, so please be careful with him. Please don’t challenge him to a boxing match.”A group of Hollywood A-listers was forced to flee from one of the world’s top hotels on Wednesday after it caught fire.
