Family and friends gathered in East Manchester Township on Sunday to celebrate the birthday of Nelda Crump.
Each year, the bookstore chain offers an educational way to keep kids reading through the summer break. The program requires that each kid, ideally in grades 1-6, read eight books and log them in a reading journal. , are asked to provide the title and author of eight books as well as detail their favorite part and why.
Each time a reading goal is met, kids earn a"Reading Award Certificate," which can be redeemed for one topping personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut.
