Signs posted at the store located at the Shoppes at Susquehanna Marketplace in Susquehanna Township announce sales of 30-50% off.

In a statement sent to PennLive, The Gap, Inc., which owns the Banana Republic brand, said, “We continue to thoughtfully analyze our real estate strategy to support the best path forward.”

The Harrisburg store at 2609 Brindle Drive is among several hundred stores tapped to close. In October 2020, the company said it planned to close about 350 Gap and Banana Republic stores across North America by the end of 2023, with the goal of having a smaller and healthier fleet of stores. The 7,500-square-foot Banana Republic opened at the Susquehanna Marketplace off Route 81 and Progress Avenue in 2005. A Banana Republic Factory Store also operates at the Tanger Outlets in Hershey.
