Big news for Baldwin county. Nonprofit organization, Impact 100 has released details on the amount of money they’ll be giving away this year.
) - Since the organization started, they’ve been donating funds to various nonprofits that serve Baldwin County.With over 500 members this year, Impact 100 will be awarding $103,000 grants to five deserving nonprofits.
“Organizations have to submit their -- what we call letter of intent, so they have to let us know that they’re going to apply by ... May 14th,” Bailey explained. “And then we’re the deadline for the actual application is June 3rd.” This year, the grant money will focus on Baldwin County nonprofits in the areas of education, family, environment and preservation, arts, culture and recreation, as well as health and wellness. Nonprofits will apply based on their category, and the selection will eventually be narrowed down to two finalists for each category. Finalists will be announced in September, with the final recipients being voted on in October.“So we fund projects,” said Bailey.
