Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong was recognized for his leadership in ethical governance, human rights, and sustainable development. Several city officials and residents also received awards for their contributions to public service.

BAGUIO CITYMayor Benjamin Magalong led awardees from this city in the Parangal para sa mga Katangi-tanging Lingkod Bayani ng Kordilyera by the Civil Service Commission -Cordillera Administrative Region at the Newtown Plaza Hotel here on Nov. 21. He was recognized for being an advocate of ethical leadership , human rights, and sustainable development on the national level. Under the leadership of Magalong, this city has received three international awards and 38 national awards.

Baguio City Public Library utility worker Florentino dela Cruz Jr. was a Dangal ng Bayan awardee for making a huge impact in digitizing library services, improving community engagement, and supporting library programs that have impacted the role of the library in the community. The Department of Interior and Local Government-Baguio City Field Office composed of Director Millicent Carino and members Carol Gano, Maria Consolacion Buena, Joe Pablo Gernale, and Allan Ocal won the CSC Pag-asa Award in the group category for creating the DILG Flexible Learning and Enhanced Knowledge Service – a website containing DILG issuances, frontline services of the department, compliance monitoring reports, and online analytics and assessment of 128 barangays in Baguio. Meanwhile, Magalong inaugurated the Baguio Botanical Garden Christmas display on Nov. 21 with the theme Faith, Hope, and Love conceptualized by the City Environment and Parks Management Office. “Let us all remember the true meaning of Christmas – what Jesus taught us: keep the faith, never lose hope, and love. These are the gifts we all need, and the greatest of these is love,” said CEPMO head Rhenan Diwas. “This holiday season, may we be inspired by the spirit of giving and the warmth of community every time we visit the enchanting Christmas at the Baguio Botanical Garden,” Magalong said
