Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, who officiated the opening ceremony, thanked MBPP for upgrading and beautifying the side lanes and back lanes within the George Town World Heritage Site.“Through the back lane transformation programme, we hope people can change their negative mindsets about back lanes.
“Although there might be differences in ideas in the beginning, when people see the transformation, they will accept it in the end as long as they are good projects, ” he said.
