Additionally, because of the damage to the former nest, city officials and the raptor center created a makeshift nest for the eaglet. She said the eaglet stands about 2 and a half feet tall and described it as healthy.“We did radiographs, we did bloodwork and we didn’t see anything that was troubling, so we just monitored the eaglet. We thought it might have soft tissue damage because it was favoring one wing at the beginning, but that also got better very quickly,” Johnson said.
