With perfect scores for education, healthcare and stability, Toronto, Canada, was ranked in ninth place.Geneva came in at equal seventh most liveable city, its education ranking up thanks to the end of COVID-19 related disruptions.While owing much of its wealth and rapid growth to its status as the centre of Canada's oil industry, 'Cowtown' is loved by locals and travellers alike for its rodeo festivals.
While western European cities continue to feature heavily in the top ten, their overall rankings have fallen as they fail to keep up with gains in healthcare and education in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.The third Canadian city to make the list, Vancouver is among Canada's densest, most ethnically diverse cities and a popular filming location thanks to being surrounding by picturesque mountains.
While both cities ranked equally well for infrastructure, healthcare and education, Melbourne scored slightly higher on culture and environment.11 of 12The capital of Denmark, Copenhagen has retained its spot as the world's second most liveable city thanks to its stunning cultural sites, antiquated beauty and strong education and healthcare - let down only by a relative lack of major sporting events.
Vienna has been named the world's most liveable city for the second year running, thanks to its reliable infrastructure, standout culture and entertainment and impeccable education and health services.
