ANU National Security College visiting fellow William Stoltz says the Australian education system faces a “significant challenge” in training up nuclear physicists required for the AUKUS submarines.
“The AUKUS initiative is essentially a century-long endeavour that we are undertaking,” he told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“So it’s not really just about what’s happening at our universities, it’s about what’s happening in our primary schools right now that we need to address.”
