USSC Director Foreign Policy and Defence Peter Dean says the Former Prime Minister Paul Keating has “diminished himself” by some of the comments he made regarding the AUKUS deal.
“The personal attacks, he also made accusations at the Press Club that the entire public service were neoconservatives, I mean this stuff is just simply not true,” Mr Dean told Sky News Australia.
“I think on the AUKUS deal, I think we can have a rational grown-up conversation about spending that amount of money on a particular defence capability.”
