The retired broadcast executive has sued San Antonio's Alamo Equity LLC and principal Logan Anjaneyulu for breach of fiduciary duty and other claims.
An Austin investor has been awarded nearly $5.3 million in damages stemming from allegations that a San Antonio firm diverted investment assets to shore up ailing properties including the El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel. Lawyers for investor Emilio Nicolas Jr. are expected to ask a judge Wednesday to confirm the award by an arbitrator and enter a judgment against Alamo Equity LLC, principal Logan Anjaneyulu and other parties.
Afton Oaks Residences, owner of North Side land slated for apartments, seeks Chapter 11 bankruptcy Anjaneyulu and his attorney didn’t respond to a request for comment so it couldn’t be determined if they will oppose a final judgment at Wednesday’s hearing. Nicolas, a retired San Antonio broadcasting executive, sued Alamo Equity and Anjaneyulu in May 2023 in state District Court in San Antonio.
