ALDOT is providing more than $44,000 in additional funding through their Alabama Airport Improvement Funding Program. The airport will provide the same amount in matching local funds for a grand total of over $878,000 in improvement money. ALDOT anticipates awarding approximately $8 million in state funds to various local airports in Alabama during the 2024 fiscal year.
