Montgomery Catholic and Lowndes Academy moved to No. 1 in their respective classifications this week.

Montgomery Catholic jumped from No. 3 to No. 1 in this week’s Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 4A high school football rankings.
The Knights defeated reigning champ and previous No. 1 Andalusia 27-14 last week and jumped over Cherokee County at No. 2 to grab the top spot. Jackson, which received two first-place votes, is No.3. Andalusia fell to No. 4.There also was another change at the top in the AISA. Undefeated Lowndes Academy is the new No. 1 after Glenwood lost to Chambers Academy 20-14. This is the final AISA poll.
