With the support of external Editorial Board Members, papers are rapidly peer-reviewed to ensure they are technically sound. As an Associate or Senior Editor, you will support the Chief Editor and Deputy Editors of Scientific Reports in managing the Editorial Board and editorial decision-making processes across the journal. You will support content delivery by making editorial decisions, managing peer review for specific manuscripts, and helping to expand the reach of the journal through conference attendance and dedicated outreach initiatives. Key performance indicators include rapid publication, sound peer-review practices, and high levels of service to authors, reviewers, and Editorial Board Members . This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for science to break into an editorial career on a high-profile, fast-paced, multidisciplinary journal. The position is offered on a full-time basis and will be based in our New York, Jersey City, or Philadelphia office on a hybrid working basis.Assist in the daily management of the journal workflow, acting as handling editor on manuscripts, providing rapid, constructive peer-review and publication decisions Contribute to content development by working with the Editorial Board on the commissioning and publication of subject-specific collections Establish and maintain relationships with EBMs; support the recruitment and training of new EBMs where requiredCommunity outreach, to EBMs, and potential authors, including participation at international and national conferences, Editorial Board meetings and lab visits as requiredPlease submit an updated CV, along with a cover letter introducing yourself and explaining why you are interested in this roleUS Annualized Base Salary Range: Associate Editor - $80,000 - $90,000 / Senior Editor - $95,000 - $105,000. The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, skill level, and equity. The US salary range does not align with the salary ranges in other countries when converted to the currency of that country.
