Getting others to ask before using your stuff : Ask Yadi has the answer
CLEVELAND, Oh - Is it so unreasonable to expect someone to ask before taking or using something that doesn’t belong to them?
I don’t feel that I should have to lock things up, but I also don’t feel that asking, “Hey can I open or use this?” is asking too much. Even though I have made comments and specifically asked that my things not be used I seems to fall on deaf ears.Nobody should have to resort to leaving notes on everything that say, “This is mine please don’t touch.” But sadly not everyone respects that if it doesn’t belong to them, they should ask permission before helping themselves.
When things are out in the open, unfortunately some people feel that it is meant to share and for everyone’s use.
