Asda said customers could soon enjoy lower fuel prices all across the country
Asda has issued a hopeful message to motorists over future fuel prices. It comes after Asda Group acquired EG Group's UK business for more than £2 billion. A key part of the deal is that Asda will now be able to roll out Asda Express locations across 356 sites previously held by EG UK which includes petrol filling stations.

With the deal complete, we can focus on delivering the growth opportunities.
Asda says the acquisition will create a group with an expected combined revenue of nearly £28 billion serving 21 million customers every week. It also claims that it will bundle together convenience, fuel, grocery, foodservice, and omnichannel retailing under the retail brand.
