Columbus' population projected to hit 3 million by 2050!
The busy Independence Day travel period is underway. There were no major delays and cancellations on the flight status board for John Glenn International Airport as of Thursday evening. Fly out of John Glenn International Airport and you're able to travel across the country.Airport leaders have been evaluating that right now.
According to a recent study by the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, the population in Central Ohio is expected to top 3 million by 2050, with new businesses like Intel, Amazon and Facebook leading the way."This terminal was built in 1958, so, it's over 60 years old," Easterday said. "So, while we've had some really nice cosmetic improvements over the years, it's really ending its useful life. We do have a new terminal project for CMH on track.
Airport development is top of mind constantly, but as the airport flourishes, can it still be easy to access?"I hear often from folks that our terminal is easy, and we definitely want to keep that for whatever changes that we make for our facility," Easterday said.
