Southcentral will spend most of Thanksgiving with highs in the single digits.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Some light snow showers are still falling through the Interior this morning, where an additional inch of snow accumulation is possible. While things have dried out across Southcentral, some flurries will be possible through the day as well, although little to no accumulation is possible. Most of Mainland Alaska will be on the drier side the rest of this week, with any stormy weather remaining for the Aleutians and into Southeast.
Right now, it looks highly likely that a large majority of the day Thursday will see highs remaining in the single digits, with only a few hours warming above 10 degrees.Areas of rain and snow continue to spread across the panhandle, with a winter weather advisory in effect for Juneau until 3 a.m. Wednesday. Areas within the advisory will see eight to 14 inches of storm total snow, with the snow falling over a period of several hours.
Highs today occurred early this morning for the Interior, with temperatures set to quickly drop into the single digits throughout the afternoon hours. Temperatures will drop even further through the night, with many areas waking up tomorrow morning to lows anywhere from -10 to -20 degrees.
