Artist and designer Jose Wong has created a real sneaker based on Apple's running shoe emoji, now available through their website in sizes from five to twelve. The Shoe 1 , under Wong's ABCD brand, costs $219.90 and is expected to ship in about a week. The shoe features a full-grain nubuck leather upper with mesh for breathability, lightweight EVA foam midsole, and a polyurethane rim for comfort and support.
It includes a rubber outsole made with five percent recycled rubber and foam insoles with an electronics print referencing an A(BCD)5 processor. The shoe box design mimics Apple’s minimalist packaging. The design of the Shoe 1 is reminiscent of the New Balance 574, which was introduced in 1988 and was a favorite of Steve Jobs
